Headlight bulb has 12v power but I've tried 3 or 4 bulbs and it won't come on. The side light bulb is also out.

Hi I have a 06 citroen picasso diesel starts great then if I stop at a shop switch off come back 5 mind car will not start turn over but no start temp goes up in red then drops back down car starts after 20 min can any one help
