2005 Citroen C3 not accelerating smoothly under load

Car is running normally except for chugging or hiccupping when accelerating from (ish) 30mph upwards, especially when going uphill. Doesn't happen always and this began about four days ago.

Might be the plugs needing replaced , ignition coil pack , MAF sensor to name a few possible causes which need checking to verify or not .

Thank you - those sound less expensive than anything I was fearing :) She's in for a service today, I'll ask what they found.
