my mercedes c180 1.8 auto will start and idle fine but splutters when revved the problem comes and goes and can happen hot or cold.it drives fine when it clears,ihave changed the fuel filter to no effect.

We have had to buy yet another air flow meter for our car this week (this is the 4th one in about 5 years). It was fitted on Monday and the car has been fine since then but today no fuel can get through. Does anyone know what the problem ...
