Thanks but it’s not the bulbs and I have tried changing the fuse for the sunlight sensor, which is used for the AUTO light activation. But that hasn’t helped. I don’t know what other fuse to try, as it’s both headlights and both registration plates set of lights, which should be activated at the same time when the headlights are turned on. So it seems like an electrical fault. I have it booked into a garage in a few days. (The fuse descriptions/locations you have provided don’t match up for my car. Mine is a C4 Picasso).

Thanks again. I have all the fuse details, I googled it and got a photo and all the positions. Any idea which one would control the headlights and registration plate lights at the same time? I can’t find one. That’s why I tried replacing the sunshine sensor as it does that, but they are also suppose to come on when using the switch on the steering toggle (don’t know what the stick is called).
