Audi A4 Problems

The booster pressure is not working. I have changed all the parts and the vacuum manifold flap but it's still not working. Any ideas why the air is not being sucked in when the engine is being revved?

The CLutch is very hard to push down but the gear box is working fine. when it first happened it created a smell from the engine. any ideas what this could be?? slipped disc or something with the fly wheel?

revs re up and down on tickover and somtimes stalls.

the revs on idle are up and down and somtimes cuts out engine.apparently it hasent got a idle control valve !!!! is this true ? its the adr engine 1998 1.8
