2017 Vauxhall Insignia thermostat or sensor?

As below. Message came up stating AC was not working due to high engine temp. Gauge on 0°c. Is this serious or can it still be driven?

Wouldn't drive it if it was my car until found the cause . Could be something rather minor like an electrical or sensor fault to a major fault causing this .
