2013 Vauxhall ADAM could not get my vauxhall adam to go into reverse.garage said no parts available so done a temporary repair which has affected gear changes from one to two

looking at video it looks like a piece of plastic has snapped.if i cant get the part from vauxhall where can i get it please

This is an easy fix, the piece of plastic which pulls up the selector has broken. The fix is to buy a complete new gear stick which comes with a new leather gator etc. Lift the centre consul and remove the old gear stick and replace. I repaired the wires in around 15 minutes and costs £54 for the part. There is a YouTube Video of someone doing the repair. p.s Got the part from eBay.
