Renault Laguna Problems

The LCD display on the instrument panel which shows the read out of distances on my Laguna has gone very faint. It is a struggle to read it. Any ideas anybody? Thanks.

Ever now and again after I have been driving about 15 to 20 mins I loose power and have to rev the engine out of gear what can be causing this the car dose not do this all the time
