2010 Renault Laguna noisy gearbox

Hi, fifth and sixth gear there's a whining noise coming from the gearbox. Changed the oil twice and also put in an additive. Helped a bit but the noise is still there. Smooth gear change, runs smooth just noisy. Thanks.

Usually caused by worn bearings which very doubtful if any additive will cure

Hi thanks for your prompt reply, much appreciated. One last question, apologies for being a pain, but could you recommend what bearings to change and where would the best place to get them from. Thanks again regards, Scott.

No problem . It's one of those jobs where you have to strip it down and see what wear / tear in general there is in the box selectors , synchro hubs , bearings , diff etc. and assess cost and possibly other options available other than overhauling
