Noise is always a difficult one ,The fact that you have jacked it up and it,s away ,tells me it,s possibly more suspension related ,check balljoint,s etc, check front engine gearbox/mounting is not worn, you do not mention what frequency of noise ie is it a whine, squeak, clicking, drone, rattle, what have you?

The noise sound like somethings catching it dosen't sound like metal on metal i could be wrong

When you jack it up you are taking the load off and suspension is hanging (dependant where you jack it )If you think it's something catching as you say , could be a sticking pad , easily cured by cleaning out and freeing off .

Agree with whittinghame on sticky pad and check driveshafts have not been rubbing on anything.
