2021 MG ZS electric handbrake not always working. starting problem. noise.

The automatic handbrake does not always come on.

Twice in the last 10 days when I've pressed the start/ stop button, the engine cranks over and over but does not start. I have to press the button again to stop it and keep repeating the action until it starts. This morning the battery began to flag before the engine caught.

There's various clunking noises, which might be steering or suspension....

I'm beginning to lose confidence in the car.

First thing I would do is test battery voltage after lying over night prior to starting or LOAD test as a low battery can cause havoc with electrics / systems . It may only need recharging to restore full power
