Ford Focus Thermostat Problems

Problems mentioning the Thermostat on the Ford Focus
Spare part in the engine compartment??

Just got car..seems to be a brass thermostat plug at the end of some wires ond looks as tho it needs to be screwed in somewhere on the engine block but looks to have been taped back...There is a socket nearby that it looks as tho it needs...

Overheating

oil cooler was holed leaking water, changed cooler also changed thermostat, car overheats when driven no hot air coming into cabin top hose cold, does it need bleeding? or could it be pump.

Heater blowing variant hot and cold

my car is blowing hot and cold air variant the hot only stays hot for 40 secs then goes cold again ive changed the thermostat blew the matrix out can anybody help me with the problem thanks very much appreciated

Engine

done the stupidist thing ever and got water on top of engine,was running ok for couple of weeks then problems starting the engine,pulled spark plug cover off and plugs had water all around them,dried it up and still not right,got new plugs ...

Heater not working

my 2001 1.8td focus, the heaters/blower is not working, its blowing air out ok, but it is always cold air. even when the car has been running for a while. have changed the thermostat. no difference
