Hairline crack in block

2001 Ford Focus 1.6 zetec 3 door
Car: Ford Focus

Variant: 1.6 zetec 3 door

posted a problem last week on here, regarding my focus overheating. the garage i bought it from have changed the thermostat, water pump, rad etc.
its bascially had a brand new cooling system, and the temp gague is still up and down!
got a phone call yesterday to say that they reckon there is a hairline crack in the block, so they are gonna put another engine in it. it works out great 4 me coz the engine they are putting in has only done 45,000 as apposed to 72,000.
does any 1 think this would solve my ongoing problem?

its more than likely the crack has been caused as a result of the overheating, the cooling sysyem components such as water pump, thermostat, rad, cooling fan could cause the car to overheat if not functioning correctly, also a lack of coolant will cause you problems,if you are having the engine replaced it will need to have a new water pump and thermostat fitted, the cooling system needs to be bled through and check there is good circulation
