Vauxhall Vivaro on startup warning light "battery charging fault " comes on and stop light

Car: Vauxhall Vivaro
Variant: 1.6 diesel TDCi
Model Year: 2015
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
Van starts, drives ,battery charges, all lights etc work fine, garage continuity checked wiring from alternator all fine, suggested auto electrician. I'm stumped. seems like common fault on vivaros.

Have they LOAD tested the alternator and battery , checking voltage and charging rate ?

thanks for your reply, not sure what they checked but all wiring continuity was good. i have checked battery voltage on start up drops to 9 volts as starter turns then back to 14 when starter disengages, battery is fairly new. Could it be the alternator? don't want to change unless certain as a lot of money for no result. Regards

Battery dropping to 9 v means it's not up to scratch and either needs charged , tested or replaced if needed . Goes up to 14 v when alternator starts charging but needs LOAD tested to confirm if good or not
