2005 Vauxhall Vivaro timing belt to tight

Car: Vauxhall Vivaro
Year: 2005
Variant: 1.9cdti
Categories: Engine & Drivetrain
Fitted timing belt kit with the engine out of the van, and the belt seemed to be tight with out even any tension on it. Refitted engine and ran it for about 1500 miles but was not happy with running it like that so removed engine again and still to tight in my opinion. So reorder new kit again and the same problem again . The belts both have the same amount of teeth, is there another belt that would work better for this engine?

You got to use the correct belt as specified , no option . Check this re. fitting belt . We had a tool that we could check the flex / tension on belt but they are tight
