My Neighbours Vaxhall crossland stopped while driving and would not restart, she had it towed to a Vauxhall garage which they kept for two month and finally said she needs a new engine but hasn't told her what the problem was. Have you any ideas?

No one should have waited 2 months for news of car . crazy to do so . It never takes any where near that time to diagnose a fault . She is fully entitled to ask for the reason why the engine need replaced and voice concerns over the exceptional delay in finding out and reporting back
