2018 Vauxhall Corsa 2018 corsa. no illumination on arms/needles on speedo/rev counter. according to vauxhall, whole thing needs replacing at approx £700

Noticed arms/needles on speedo and rev counter were intermittently going on and off. Now completely gone. Vauxhall way it's an aesthetic thing and is not a major deal. Cost to replace whole unit so they illuminate is approx £700. Anyone else had this issue?

Try moving / adjusting the instrument panel illumination rheostat switch ( usually beside head light , side light switch ) and see if it helps .
