2016 Vauxhall Combo vehicle starts but no acceleration

Following recent service oil and filter change have engine light on, plugged in diagnostic machine comes up with "egr" valve but been advised this will only consume more fuel
Is it fuel filter ? Fuse as fuel not hoping through ?
I'm no mechanic but these things gs are what friends have advised
Help !!!!

If the EGR valve is stuck open, the check engine light comes on, the car uses more fuel, has lost power, and may stall when the engine is idling. The vehicle will also have increase exhaust smell and will particularly struggle at low speeds. Fuel filter needs changed also . Suggest you get someone qualified to do the work and not listen to your friends
