When engine started it runs away without pressing accelerator

When engine started from cold it will run faster due to the richer fuel mixture needed to start car but should drop to idle speed once it reaches working temp

Thanks, but why is the eco tips saying do not depress the accelerator when stationary when I have my foot on the brake

Might be related to the stop / start system . Could check your owners manual or contact dealership for clarification .
