2008 Renault Modus boot not opening with key

Hello , just got this, the boot opens with rear boot opening button, but when pressing the key the lights flash on the car and I hear a tiny click in the front like a relay, but the latch does not work, any ideas appreciated thankyou

Sounds like faulty lock / actuator

Hi there,
thank you for your help. I have only just got the car, the push button on the boot actuates the lock and opens it fine, the problem is when I use the keyfof, I hear a little click under the dash board like a relay click the indicators blink but appears no power gets to the solonoid to actuate it, I wodered if there might be a fuse in line, I am a electronic designer but have no schematic on the car, again thank you regards Terry
