2009 Peugeot 308 boot won't open

Have tried to open boot manually and then with key, it will not open. Something seems to be jamming. It is new car to us and we cannot understand how this happens after it was open this afternoon, but tonight will not open.

have you checked the glass hatch is shut properly?
