2003 Peugeot 206 heater body getting extremly hot

Good Day,

I noticed that the heater compartment behind the audio system below the dash board towards the floor Heats up extremely.

What could be causing this? Thou the Aircon, fan and the heating switches within the cabin seem to be working fine.

the compartment has a metal cover.

the heater matrix is housed ther so will get hot as coolant temp rises.Is a/c working correctly?

Yes the heat seems to working fine when turned on so does the a/c and the fan

Good Day,

Could there be a flap that is not opening fully as it should? and where can i locate this flap.

Have drainged out the radiator and replaced coolant thou it was not due. But the problem is still there.

I have noticed the minuted i start the vehicle the compart that is the heater starts warming up immediate and give it 5 minutes and its extremly hot to touch.
