1999 Peugeot 206 many problems

Car: Peugeot 206
Year: 1999
Variant: lx
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Can anyone help, mild problem indicator indicates right when not in use and will intermittantly flick on and off esp when car is rattled e.g going over bumps in road.

More serious problem is after the car is used for over 10mins or so with lots of city stop/start driving the biting point doesn't connect as normal and causes the car to almost stall then suddenly revs and takes off(not driver error i can assure you). then when driving the engine will suddenly increase in noise as if working too hard and will begin to go faster even if accelorator is not touched, these problems have got progressively worse and now the car will cut out when tried to set off after stopping for lights etc and take many tries before it will restart. Today the car was juddering after stopping for lights. I will be taking it into a garege in the next few days as it feels very unsafe but hopefully would like an idea of what to expect when they look at it???

You dont say what engine in car . Indicator fault may be indicator stalk . Engine fault could be idle control valve / throttle body .

hi i have found the problem with my car it was the earth lead from the gearbox to the inner wing on the pssenger side.it had come loose causing the battery to short which resulted in all the problem.so its just some thing for you to look for before you spend £££ in the garage.
hope this helps
