Car became abit sluggish, now doesn’t start atall, cranks over fine but won’t fire up, glow plugs are fine bench tested them also hear the glow plug relay kick in, also using scan tool live data tells me the relay switches to on, fuel filter was replaced not convinced all air is out of system however pumped the hand pump till solid also loosened 10mm nut on housing while pumping till fuel leaked out then tightened down and kept pumping, cracked injector unions fuels getting to injectors.. also found balance shaft belt has snapped so that was replaced, only faults stored was a fault to do with HPFP solenoid/valve but the live data suggests more than enough fuel pressure, what I did find though was the butterfly valve being diesel or throttle body/valve as most people like to call it is wide open when trying to start, I’m sure they’re only suppose to be open a couple of mm for idle state but when operating throttle pedal the valve doesn’t open/close just stuck wide open… any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as at a loose end with it now checked all I can fuses ect got good mechanical knowledge so baffling me as to why it wont fire having air, fuel and heat from glow plugs ect, also reading live data I’m getting good signal from cam and crank sensors.

You seem to have covered everything , including crank sensor which is common fault , but check wiring also . But should usually through a fault code. Try a jumper battery to give an extra boost and easy start down intake , nothing to lose
