Microcar MC2 can't refit calipers

Car: Microcar MC2
Variant: m8
Model Year: 2013

I've replaced the discs put the new brake pads in place screwed the caliper pistons as far back as I can but can't get the calipers back over the pads I need about 3mm more but the pistons won't go back any more anyone had this problem any help would be appreciated thankyou

Check the caliper is fully rewound , may have to loosen the bleeder very slightly ,( if correct pads / discs )
