2006 Skoda Octavia changing rear brake pads,

can someone advise wy i am unable to retract the piston so i can refit caliper unit over new pads,is it something to do with the hadbrake arrangment?,advise please.thanks.

You have to press the piston whilst turning it at the same time , best with a windback tool .
