2021 MG ZS clutch

I have heard of a lot of similar complaints with the clutch on that car .

I have a 72 plate ZS with 6,600 miles. Clutch went sticky on a journey then completely gone within 100 miles. Fluid leaking from under car. MG advised( without even looking at the car!) that it was my driving style and a replacement would cost me around £900.00 I advise anyone that has finance on one of these cars to go direct to your lender as they have greater power and can arrange independent assessments to identify fault. MG repaired my car for free before the assessor could get to inspect the car, and have refused to give us the details of the fault. Not at all suspicious eh! The saving grace is that because the finance company are aware of this problem and they can reject the car if it happens again. This means you could get a full refund of all payments made on the car from date of purchase. Hope this helps anyone with similar problems.

Having this exact issue right now. Gear stick goes in gear but doesn't engage at all. Turned car off and after an hour worked again and then stopped mid driving waited another hour and worked again. MG's wait list is 3 weeks with no courtesy car options. Although under warranty I feel I'm going to have a fight as others to get this fixed. It's a lease car and at this point I'm so tempted to just give the car back to avoid the fight with MG. I'm so torn. I feel as a female I'm going to be taken advantage of. Did yours get fixed under the warranty? Can I get a refund on the car as its a lease car?

I contacted the service manager at Arnold Clarke where I bought the car from and he said it was my driving. I had the garage print off a job sheet listing all the things/times that I had my car back in and it was 6.

The customer services manager was good and agreed it was a fault with the the car. I got rid of it in March this year and got a Nissan leaf and I love it and have had no problems. The MG was a lovely car but I had nothing but problems with it.

You will probably save yourself stress by going back to your leasing company and changing your car. Good luck!
