Unless there is a mechanical defect / fault on the clutch they will say it is driver defect or wear and tear and refuse a warranty claim . Seem to be hearing of a lot of problems with those MG s nowadays

Hi all,
clutch pedal on my mgzs 1.5 started to get stiff and creaky with no drive at 86000 miles, out of warrenty so stripped in down and found the clutch about half way worn down, however the shaft that holds the clutch bearing fork was nearly completly seized and was not releasing enough to encage the clutch plate, after stripping and copperslipping the pedal action is like new, there is a removable rubber cap on top of the clutch housing that lets you inspect the plate wear.
