Gear doesn’t change smoothly , engine revs up when changing from 2nd to 3rd gear

Changing the transmission fluid wont go wrong and often helps with this type of fault . But could be internal clutch pack wear or sensor fault that you would need to have the codes read on STAR to verify or not

Thanks , I’ve had the oil changed but the problem is still there so I need to find a garage who can go to the next stage,

Thank you for update , pity the oil change didn't cure it . No real option now other than getting a diagnostic scan with Merc. Star equipment
