2013 Ford Focus automatic transmission

Well documented and repaired under warranty by Ford / compensated by Ford

How did you achieve this may I ask?

For many years these older Focus cars with the powershift transmissions throughout the world were subject to software updates , TSB s , recalls and compensation but now long , long gone

Ford would have to stand over your gearbox if they took £2400 fro. You and its not worked , seems like a corner has been cut in its repair , I,d contact Ford headquarters for a full complaint on this one , Be pushy as they will try to palm you off , but if you have rebuild receipt then tell them you,ve already taken legal advice and this is why your on the phone with them .

More crap advice . It's an independent garage specialising in Fords , NOT a dealership , so nothing to do with Ford

Here we go , I,m trying to help the customer as I,ve been through this type of thing before , He should have went to ford dealership in 1st place but anyone charging more than £1500 for any gearbox repair , by law will have to stand over it , if you don't know then don't get involved, I will always give my best advice and never run anyone else down , This is a small world with lots of problems , Its nice to help reduce them rather that add to them , Have a good one

You really have no idea what you are talking about " anyone charging more than £1500 for any gearbox repair , by law will have to stand over it ," total rubbish . Even if it had a years warranty it would have expired since the repair . Your advice is useless and does not help anyone .

I get angry when I see people , usually unqualified and not knowing what they are talking about giving bad advice that does not help members .My advice is given from a lifetime in the motor trade . mechanic , foreman , service manager , running different franchised dealerships and own garage . This guy has just appeared tonight and starting answering other months old posts with bad advice which I have had to correct . Apologise to yourself , I dont usually react this way . On other bigger forums I am on as a Mod / Admin I can delete the bad posts , warn him and ban if needed . Once again my apologies to you for getting involved with this
