just wondered why i have to have my foot on the accelerator to start my car and i have to have it there for about 5 mins just to get it to idle.

van will start but not run

its a 1.6 zetec petrol engine but glow plug light comes on and goes off , drives perfectly all the time, car is faultless apart from exhaust blowing very slightly from centre section

from cold wen i turn the engine there is a high revving sound..it seems ok once i ave got going...also every time i turn engine on.wen warm...it still revs up but only for 6 seconds then settles down..drives ok..
