2007 Fiat Panda gear slipping on to neutral

Occasionally when driving the gear jumps on to neutral. I have to turn off the car a few times and try to manually put it on first gear but nothing seems to work. Eventually the car pick up again after 10 minutes and starts to drive again.

Please do not double post on the forum , doesn't help with any one replying . Check gear selector / mechanism for wear . if ok , scan it for faults codes with suitable equipment that covers the auto transmission / systems
