130se I have had this car for 2 1/2 yrs now and despite the problems that I have had still love driving the car. It's a pleasure to drive never feel tired even after a long journey the seats are comfortable, the fuel econ is pretty good for the size of car. I average between 48 and 55 on a run has long as you drive it at reasonable speeds(55-65) never get less than 39 mpg around town. The spec on this model is pretty good, handling is quite smooth and responsive and take the rough surfaces of our british roads very well. The only faults that I can find is there are a few blind spots IE- door mirrors, a post, b post and the head rest are very big they tend to be in your view every time you try and turn right and need to look left apart from that looking foward to my next one, which will be pretty soon if vauxhall don't manage to resolve the issue with the silver box(cd unit)

I drive a Vauxhall Insignia diesel SRi now 15 months old with 22k miles. So far it's been trouble free and a great car to drive.
There maybe a potential problem as for the last few weeks there is a strange noise coming from the engine compartment. At first I thought it was a tyre 'throbbing/rubbing' noise but it remains when car is stationary and seems unrelated to engine speed. Most noticable when car is stationaery at traffic lights for instance but when moving difficult to tell due to general tyre road noise. It also happens particularly when doing a long drive of 1hr plus. No fault messages, engine running at correct temperature and also occurs with aircon off. May be coming from the vicinity of the two front fans. Local dealer says leave it for a while as of course it never happens when I take it in for inspection!!
So in summary, a great drive etc but will it be a problem in the coming moths.. I wait and see!!
