2010 Volkswagen Touran loss of acceleration

Variant: 2.0 TDI PD SE
Lacking power whilst accelerating on motorway driving. Recently happened so haven't tried inclines.

Lots of causes . if losing power under load could be clutch slip . if engine may be fuel filter needing changed
