2001 Vauxhall Zafira washers not working can't access fuse

front and rear washers not working. several posts suggest this could be the fuse, which is in the engine compartment. I have 2 adjacent black boxes behind the battery. One on the left (square) will open abount an inch before hitting the panel above so no room to access the contents. The other box (rectangular) is to the right. Which is the fuse boox and how do I open it to access the fuse?

if you can`t remove the fusebox cover then you may need to remove the bulkhead access panel,there is also a fuse box inside the car underneath the steering column,check fuses in here

had same problem but found we have another fuse box in boot on left hand side with sort of triangular cover over it, fuse for ours was in there n not under bonnet
