2000 Vauxhall Zafira no brakes

Had my car in at garage for mot and they changed break pads, few days later had no breaks at all!took it back they changed master cylinder car was fine for a month 2 days ago no breaks again for a quarter of a mile then they worked and steering wheel was heavy.Taken back 2 garage 2day for checks can't find anything wrong-got kids don't think safe to drive- any ideas pls

what engine is it?you say the garage fitted a master cylinder so they would of done a full brake system bleed,does the pedal feel spongey,get them to check the brake servo vacuum pipe is not damaged,and check for any fluid leaks.were the brakes been bedded in properly after they were fitted?as for steering problem check your pas fluid level is ok.depending on what system fitted check the pas belt is not slipping or that the main power supply from engine bay fusebox is not loose or poor connection on the earth wire to battery

Vauxhall Zafira Electric Hydraulic Power Steering Pump



Vauxhall Zafira 98 on, suffering power steering failure from electro hydraulic TRW pump failure. Also some units failing for leaking hydraulic fluid.
Remanufactured units on the shelf and available next day.
