2001 Vauxhall Zafira when giving gas to the car in third gear it makes an rumbling whinning noise

I want to know that when i put the car into second or third gear the car starts making rumbling noises when you give more gas. the car should be smooth whether its an diesel or petrol. i dont seem to have a clue what the problem is please help me asp. its a dti

That car had problems with dual mass flywheels causing judders etc.
