Air conditioning won't switch off

2004 Vauxhall Zafira 2.0 DTI Elegance auto
Car: Vauxhall Zafira
Year: 2004
Variant: 2.0 DTI Elegance auto
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
The air conditioning won't switch off even after romoving ignition key. This has caused the battery to go flat and the car not even starting with jump leads because of the extra load.

New battery fitted to keep car going but no change with the air cond problem.

Have now resorted to removing the fuse when leaving the car.

air con can not run without engine running it needs the compressor on the engine to work do you mean the engine cooling fan keeps running or the interior heater fan keeps going?
if int fan try the heater resistor
if cooling fan some cars are ment to run after iggy off until temp of eng drops so id look at water temp sensor first
