2004 Vauxhall Zafira won't start

Parked car at night and in morning when I tried to start it there was no response although the key had been turned. It was just dead although on checking battery the battery was ok.It was if a "main" fuse had gone and no imformation was getting thro from the ignition switch.

Are the lights working on the dash?
If not it prob is a battery fault.

just joined this forum and saw your post. would be interested to know what the fault was.
i've encountered this before and it turned out to be the glow plug heater relay and a dodgy earth connection to the engine
