i cannot understand why the battery goes flat after a few weeks all the time.RAC have said battery needs changing so took it to garage and had new one.after a few weeks same thing happened again rac checked everything and could not find problem,said take it off and charge it.having done this again it went flat.Took car back to garage they said same as rac but put another new battery on saying the one on car must be faulty.drove away car was fine then few weeks later same thing again.Now really fed up with it.hope someone can help here,

Check alternator output under load .If not that , check for parasitic drain.

thanks very much for your answer to my problem but altenator been checked and is ok not quite sure what you mean by parasitic drain though lol i am thinking could it be something like a bad earth somewhere on body of car.
