2007 Vauxhall Zafira starting issue

my 07 petrol zafira 1.6 when starting up you can hear the engine ticking over but wont fire up?had the car fully serviced 3 months ago at ames and have had to resort to undoing the airfilter pipe and spraying petrol down it to start it???? nothing has come up on the dash and have tried a diagnostic tool but no faults found?????? the battery is 1 month old and no sure what to check next????

Could try changing engine coolant temp sensor which lets ECU know how much fuel to supply i.e more fuel on cold start .

I have 06 petrol zafra 1.6 my one won't start as well only start if you give it a tow
Then it's ok for 3 days then wont start again have put new plugs in
What can it be

Bloody annoying,mine ran perfectly until i holidayed in Combe Martin which is all uphill and down dale. I've had many ppl tell me so many reasons why,spill pipes, need a one way fuel valve,egr valve etc.Used a few cans of easy start during the process.Only solution i have found is you have to keep the fuel tank brimmed!Starts first time everytime,nuisance but effective!!!
