2002 Vauxhall Zafira cold start problem

Car: Vauxhall Zafira
Year: 2002
Variant: 1.8 Comfort
Categories: Engine & Drivetrain
I have had a problem with this car for months. The one I'm currently struggling to fix, is a cold start problem, where the car struggles for the first 2 mins after the car is started and then settles normally. EML comes on and off intermittantly.
Had new o2 sensor, spark plugs and coil pack, and both front and rear lambda sensor. Please can someone help point me in the right direction as 3 garages have failed to find the fault.

Try changing your engine coolant temp sensor , easy and cheap .

If it,s from cold start then certainly engine coolant temp. Sensor is a definite possible ,as well as thermostat itself.as in the initial warm up phase the ECM will run at a default value if it,s not receiving the correct info.

I've replaed the coolant temp sensor, and it appears to be a little better. However, still rough. My grandad took it out the ther day-revved the balls of it,Engine management light went out, he seems to think fault now lies with my exhaust being clogged or blocked.
I've just started it again from cold and its still a bit rough starting up.....any ideas?

Engine management light on again.

Engine fault codes 0130 and 0170.

Spending my day off on Thursday to try and sort. Could it be egr valve as its only thing I've not touched? Reading online could also be workin problem or fault lambda on front? This was only changed 12 months ago? Any help would be appreciated.

My Vauxhall (Opel) Zafira 2004 1.8 liter 16V Petrol Auto had COLD START problem; cold engine does not start no matter what! I have changed the following parts, one

after another:
1. New Coil pack
2. New Spark plugs
3. New Battery
4. New Mass Air flow oxygen meter (if this is bad ngine will stall and revs will be erratically up & down)
5. Air filter
6. Oil filter
7. Engine oil
8. Fuel filter
9. Premium Petrol
10. Engine coolant water sensor

Still the same problem. Then changed 'Crank sensor'. And now the car starts fine without any issue!!
