Loss of power, engine light(spanner) flashes. due to clutch repair??

2002 Vauxhall Zafira 2.0 diesel turbo
Car: Vauxhall Zafira

Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
the clutch on my zarira unexpectedly fell apart and I was charged £550 to have it repaired as the dual mass plate had gone. the car never had any running problems before this even when the clutch went and we broke down the engine light never came on once but since getting it back from garage it has lost power mainly in 1st, 2nd and on hills, and engine light flashes on and off. could anybody tell me if this is related to the clutch problem, or if the garage could of done it, also can anyone please tell me if that's a fair price?? thanks

That's a very good price for flywheel and clutch repair.I would return to them and ask them to check it just in case something has been disturbed or left unplugged after all this repair is major surgery to some extent.

Check the earth cable from engine to body is o.k , tight clean and corrosion free at both ends .May have been disturbed during clutch installation .

that is a great price for a clutch change. it cost me more than that in parts for mine and i fitted it myself. i too had engine issues afterwards. it was perished plastic vacuum pipes. they run close to the engine and as a clutch change involves virtually dropping the engine out the car and removing lots of items to gain access ect, it's a high possibility.
