Oil pressure Ok, Fuel ok, battery up to power, alternator producing well, under bonnet fuses appear OK. bump started and still no fault found. Journey resumed, and motorway speeds were achieved, and got home. still nothing on the key. while running all vehicle lights Ok dashboard light all out except the electronic stability management light, which remained on steady.

I've got and use a device called a remote starter, bacicaly it's a button attatched to two leads.
lead one to battery pos, lead two to starter solenoid terminal, small dia wire, and then press the button.
This'll spin the starter/engine over independant of any other electrics,no spin then the starter is shot.
spin?
then the starter solenoid feed is absent, for whatever reason.

not necessarily could also be a poor engine earth or poor or missing main feed to starter you need to check all these before writing the starter off
