2002 Vauxhall Vectra dashboard instruments fail when driving.

Car: Vauxhall Vectra
Year: 2002
Variant: 1.8 1798 manual 5 door hatch
Categories: Leaks & Noises
Radio goes off, battery and ABS light comes on. Then radio comes back on but no indicators, horn, speedometer and rev counter at zero. Can only get them to work by stopping somewhere turning off engine and back on again. Only seems to happen about once a day first thing in the morning. Have had problems with indicators before where they won't work, so have to put hazard lights on and then off and the indicators then work. Have been told by Vauxhall that it is probably the CIM unit and the part alone cost £315.00 + VAT. Error code is B1001. Please help.
