2000 Vauxhall Vectra cooling fan always on

When i start the car the rad fan comes on and it will stay on even after the car is switched off, i removed to green fuse to stop the fan when the engine is off.
My research says it is most likely the relay for the fan, but i do not know where this is as car is recently aquired. any ideas to help plz?

Sounds like electric fan control unit knacked .

can you elaborate a bit plz, how to check it etc?

Ignore earlier post I think it only refers to V6 engines .You could see if you have an electric fan switch fitted on radiator and check that . I think the relays in the box in front of the battery are for the cooling fan , but could be wrong .

Dug this out on someone else with same fault on other forum ,hope it helps .
the relays in the box infront of the battery are for the cooling fan
i had this problem last yr fan would stay on at low speed
with mine it was a relay had welded itself closed once changed it was sorted.only thing is if your vec has aircon then it could be any of the relays in the box as they all cover the fans between the cooling and the air con and i cant remember which relay was causing my problem

there is no aircon, will check switch and relays tomorrow, further post if needed, thx all

Ok the relay is switching on and off ok, so guess its not that, how do i check the sensor in the radiator?

WHATS THE TEMP ON DASH READING? YEAR OF CAR?
COULD BE FAULTY SENSOR IF IE A COOLANT SENSOR FAILS IT WILL PUT THE FAN ON FULL ALL THE TIME AS A FAIL SAFE SO CAR DOES NOT OVERHEAT.
