Emissions warning light

Sounds as if you have more than one fault . If the engine is running cold it wont be reaching working temp and this will affect the emissions , Common cause is a faulty thermostat , stuck open but do check your coolant tank level . Not going into gear is not usually connected and may be a clutch fault , gear linkage fault . Could check clutch fluid level in tank .
