yesterday I turn on the engine after 2 minutes a warning came on engine overheated -idele engin. I turned the engine off for 20 minutes turn the car back on drove it for 2 minutes then a warning light came on saying ac off due to high engine temp . i stopped the car left over night . tried starting the car this morning took a few attempts and the temperature gadget went to 90

You checked the coolant and engine oil levels ?

no I haven't . Do you think that could be the issue ?
