Gear Selection

2010 Vauxhall Insignia 2.0CDTI Sports Tourer
Car: Vauxhall Insignia
Year: 2010
Variant: 2.0CDTI Sports Tourer
Categories: Gearbox & Clutch
Started off in Jan 2011 where i was finding gear selection between 3 & 4 a bit tight. Now I am finding it tight in selecting any gear. problem seams to be with the selection mechanism and not the gear box itself. It has now developed a squeak as you move up and down the gears more so when engine is at running temp.

Is it not still under warranty ? If so , take back to dealers .

1 Switch off engine . 2 Try and go through your gears without using the clutch 3 if this is easily done ? its not your gearbox........here,s the bad news I have the same model on a 09 plate and I had the same symtoms . Solution at 68,000 miles " NEW CLUTCH" £800-£1000 not covered under warranty sorry , hope this helps ???
