Hessitant Acceleration / Drive

2009 Vauxhall Insignia 2.0 CDTI 130ps
Car: Vauxhall Insignia
Year: 2009
Variant: 2.0 CDTI 130ps
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
I currently have a problem where my Insignia feels lumpy / hessitant when driving / accelerating. Kind of feels like the start of a missfire.

Has been into dealer and had various parts changed. Dealer has now advised that they have tested other cars of the same model (2.0 cdti 130ps) and they all seem to do the same thing, may be a result of the reprogramming due to DPF recall.

All I know is my car did not used to do this nor did it do it initially after the DPF recall. Has anyone else experienced this, and if so do you know what the fix is?

Yes - Thanks. Still ongoing with dealer, have also taken up with Vauxhall. I am trying to find out if this is a more wide spread problem or if it is known about by other dealers.

Seems wrong to me that dealer has found other cars doing this but is suggesting it as normal for this model following re-programming of ECU.

If they have found other cars with same problem , you would have thought Vauxhall Motors would have researched it and found a solution by now .Can understand why you are unhappy with situation , driving car in this condition you lose confidence in vehicle . Keep on to dealers and Vauxhall , interested to know outcome .

I would'nt be suprised if it is a software issue with the engine management system, it is not un heard of and i would have thought GM will be working on a solution, i remember they had an issue a few years back with egr valves and that was also software so i would'nt worry for now.

are you getting any fault codes come up or is the engine management light on,you should`nt get any power problems following a dpf regeneration, check the differential pressure sensor wiring and pipework as this will affect the power, this can bring up a dpf fault code

No Fault codes registered. No loose pipes or wires either - although interestingly I first took it in because of a whiring noise which turned out to be a loose vacuum pipe coming off of the turbo solinoid valve. This is one of the parts they have subseqently changed. I beleive these valves may have been checked at the DPF recall because the original one came out with a dop of blue paint on it as did the ECU which was reprogrammed.
Thankyou all for you contributions.

I have a CDTi 160 with simular problems after a software reload. Garage has no ideas. DPF has totally clogged up with no warnings until it happened then it told me to service soon.It is going into a dealer again as it is now coming up with service soon and check tyre pressure. The engine sounds like a bag of nails. Will let you know what they say. I have also spoken direct to vauxhall who have promised to come back to me once they have talked to dealer.
